Currently, there are five groups that meet for adult conversation and learning. Thee classes meet on Sunday morning and two groups meet during the week.

Sunday Morning

The Present Word

This Bible study meets on Sunday morning.  The focus each week is on selected passages from the Bible. A study guide gives historical and theological background and poses discussion questions.

Table Talk Class

This Sunday morning class studies a single book of the Bible and discusses the intersection of scripture and contemporary life.   

During the Week

Women of the Word

This group meets weekly at noon on Tuesdays currently meeting via ZOOM. A book or other study material is chosen with a particular emphasis on a woman’s perspective on matters of faith.  

Book Discussion Group

Meeting on Wednesdays from September through May, this group reads a recently published book in Christian theology and meets to discuss the key concepts.

Monthly Groups

Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women is a nation-wide program for education, mission, and leadership development. There is a group at Parkway that meets monthly from September through May.  PW Poyner Evening Circle meet at 6:30 PM on the 3rd Monday of the month.
